Step One: Let’s talk​

Right, we need a chat. I want to hear all about your plans, all about you both and what you’re looking for in your wedding ceremony. We will also make sure the dates work out for everyone involved and discuss rehearsals, timings and outline plans. We can do that in person at my beautiful Studio in Ashtead, Surrey or on Zoom/Teams etc if that’s easier for you and your schedule.

Step Two: Let’s get planning your Ceremony

The next thing we will do is design the wedding ceremony of your dreams so that it can be the just as you wish.  This might involve some of your favourite readings, or songs, or  you may want to include a favourite pet in the ceremony or bring in a ritual like hand-fasting … the possibilities are literally pretty much endless!

At this point, and in order to help you write your unique vows to one another, I provide you with a questionnaire about each other … it’s a beautiful thing that I ask you to complete separately and gives you a chance to reflect on your beloved before you write your vows.

Step Three: Leave it with me

While you’re busy organising all the plans for your wedding, I then get to work on designing and writing your unique ceremony for and about the two of you. This can take a little while, but with a huge selection of poems, readings, songs, musical interludes at my disposal, I am working with a fabulous library of ideas … so you don’t have to.

Step Four: The Script

Once I have spent some time creating your wedding ceremony, I then present these ideas to you in the form of a script together with some ideas for readings, rituals etc.

Step Five: Finalising​

Now we have the basics in place, it’s then just a matter of getting ready for your special day by finalising the script so it works perfectly for you.Together we then work out what you like and what you’d rather change and so on and I edit, rearrange and edit the script to meet your precise brief. Easy!

A full copy of the Wedding Ceremony Script will be printed for you to receive on the day itself as a beautiful memento, if you’d like that.

Step Six: The Ceremony​

The Big Day has arrived!

I will arrive early and liaise with the main contacts on the day in good time to check everything is organised as you wish and prepare for your arrival. I will make your guests feel welcome and relaxed with plenty of smiles and oodles of warmth as they enter your chosen venue and await your arrival. I will then deliver your ceremony for you with professionalism, more warmth and love and ensure your ceremony and wedding day is unforgettably wonderful and perfect for you.
